Why Frosted Glass Owns the Scalp-Care Aisle
Frost reads clinical and calm at the same time — which is exactly the register scalp serum and hair oil brands want. The satin surface hides fingerprints between uses, softens fill-level visibility, and gives white and pastel label schemes a base that clear glass cannot. It photographs evenly under studio and phone light alike.
This program pairs the frost with a matte-black, white or rose-gold dropper cap, so the cap becomes the brand accent. One geometry, three cap routes: a quiet entry SKU and a premium variant can share the same bottle and carton.
Frost Quality Is a Process, Not a Filter
Frost finishes fail in visible ways: patchy etching, cloudy streaks, rough bands near the base, and frost that scratches off where cartons rub. This program controls frost as a specification — uniformity across the body, a consistent satin grade, and decoration inks selected for etched surfaces. Your sample bottle is the reference; production is checked against it.
The other frequent mistake: printing on frost without testing ink opacity. Inks that look solid on clear glass can go translucent on etched surfaces. We run your artwork on a frosted sample first — it costs a sample, not a production run.
Questions Importers Ask First
Does the frost affect the formula?
The frost layer is part of the glass surface treatment and is confirmed stable against your formula at sampling. For essential-oil-heavy formulas, tell us the oil percentage and we review compatibility on the filled sample.
Can we get the same shape in clear glass?
Yes — the cylinder runs in clear as a companion SKU, which many brands use for a value tier under the frosted line. Both share cap systems and cartons.
How do we keep the frost looking new in retail?
Frost hides fingerprints better than clear glass, but it is still glass: inner cartons are interleaved so surfaces do not rub in transit, and this packing is quoted as standard for frosted programs.
From Brief to Bulk: How SEALAND Runs It
Brief (size, cap color, quantity) → frosted sample with quotation → drawing and print proof on frosted glass → production against the sealed sample → interleaved export packing. Decoration proofs are always run on frosted substrates, never on clear stand-ins.
Sampling, MOQ & Lead Time
MOQ starts from 500 pcs for standard shapes with standard decoration; complex coatings or custom tooling are quoted separately, and the current MOQ for your exact configuration is confirmed at quotation.
Samples: US$39 per reference set, refundable from the bulk order. Samples let you evaluate glass weight, dropper draw, color and finish in hand before you commit.
Lead time: 7–15 days for in-stock glass with standard decoration after sample approval. Custom molds, special coatings and peak-season queues are confirmed per project.
Quality Checks Before Shipment
Every order is checked against a sealed reference sample before mass production starts, and again at packing: glass color against the approved swatch, dropper fit and draw, decoration registration, and carton condition on a sampling basis. Performance targets such as draw smoothness and seal behavior are agreed on the confirmed sample — not promised from a listing photo.
