Why Colored Glass Sells Hair Oil
Most hair-oil shelves are a wall of amber and clear bottles. Color is the fastest way to break out of it: a cobalt blue or blush pink square bottle is recognizable from across a screenshot, which is exactly where most first purchases happen now. Colored glass also does quiet functional work — it cuts light transfer to the formula and hides fill-level variation between units.
This program keeps one bottle geometry across five glass colors, so a brand can launch a product line — growth oil, scalp serum, pre-wash treatment — without re-engineering packaging per SKU. One cap system, one carton, one label die: three colors on shelf with one packaging spec.
What Wholesale Buyers Get Wrong About Colored Glass
Color needs a standard, not a screenshot. Glass color shifts between melts, and a blue approved from a phone photo will not match a Pantone expectation. This program is quoted and produced against physical color swatches: you approve a glass color sample, and production is checked against that sealed sample — not against a rendering.
The second mistake is assuming every color accepts every decoration. Silk-screen ink opacity, hot-stamp adhesion and spray-coat finish all behave differently on transparent tinted glass versus coated glass. We confirm the decoration stack on your actual sample bottle before the production run.
Questions Importers Ask First
Can you match our exact brand color?
Standard melt colors (cobalt blue, blush pink, emerald green, honey amber, clear) run from stock tooling at the 500-pc tier. Custom sprayed colors are matched to your swatch on top of clear glass — that route gives the widest color range and is confirmed with a sprayed sample before mass production.
Do the droppers come assembled?
Collar, pipette and bulb arrive as matched sets for the chosen neck. Pipette length and bulb firmness are confirmed against your sample; if you fill on automated lines, tell us the viscosity range and we review pipette draw with you at sampling.
What does the dropper actually seal against?
The closure seals on the glass bottleneck finish, and seal behavior is verified on your filled sample before mass production — oil viscosity and filling temperature both matter, so we do not quote leak performance from a photo.
From Brief to Bulk: How SEALAND Runs It
Brief (bottle, color, capacity, quantity) → color and closure sample with a quotation → drawing and decoration proof → production against the sealed sample → export packing with dividers. You always know which step your project is on, and nothing enters production before a sample you approved.
Sampling, MOQ & Lead Time
MOQ starts from 500 pcs for standard shapes with standard decoration; complex coatings or custom tooling are quoted separately, and the current MOQ for your exact configuration is confirmed at quotation.
Samples: US$39 per reference set, refundable from the bulk order. Samples let you evaluate glass weight, dropper draw, color and finish in hand before you commit.
Lead time: 7–15 days for in-stock glass with standard decoration after sample approval. Custom molds, special coatings and peak-season queues are confirmed per project.
Quality Checks Before Shipment
Every order is checked against a sealed reference sample before mass production starts, and again at packing: glass color against the approved swatch, dropper fit and draw, decoration registration, and carton condition on a sampling basis. Performance targets such as draw smoothness and seal behavior are agreed on the confirmed sample — not promised from a listing photo.
