A Pocket-Sized Piece of Brand History

A challenge coin is the most handled object a brand can give away - it lives in pockets, on desks and in display cases long after the event. We die-cast and die-strike custom coins and badges in zinc alloy, round or fully sculpted to your silhouette, with 2D or 3D relief, antique platings and enamel color fills. From tourism souvenirs to anniversary gifts and bottle decorations like the anchor emblem shown on this page, your design is tooled from scratch.

Detail Is Decided by the Tooling, Not the Machine

Fine linework, cutouts and layered elements are where coins fail: recesses fill, edges soften, plating hides the relief. The die - not the machine - decides whether a ship's wheel still has spokes after striking or casting. That is why the artwork evaluation and die engineering stage is where detail is won: lines and recesses below the tooling minimum must be flagged and adapted before the tooling is cut, so layered elements and movable parts like a hanging chain come through with their relief intact.

Finishes That Age Properly

Bright plating shows wear early; antique finishes need controlled oxidation so the darkening sits in the recesses - not on the high points - and holds through handling. Choose from antique gold, silver and copper, nickel and black nickel, soft or hard enamel fills, and UV full-color printing. The same tooling carries any of them, so a second run in another finish needs no new die.

Honest Answers Before You Commit

Custom tooling is quoted per design - send the artwork and we return a practical minimum, unit tier and timeline rather than a one-size number. As is standard with custom tooling, the sample produced from your tooling is the checkpoint - checked against the approved design before the bulk run. Physical sample references travel with the quote: the anchor emblem on this page is an antique copper piece with a real hanging chain.

One Design, Many Uses

Tourism boards, wineries and event teams need the same emblem as a pocket coin, a bottle decoration and a gift-box keepsake - without redesigning the artwork for each. The same contour is produced flat-back for mounting or double-relief for a coin; each size is cut to its own die. Request a quote with your artwork to confirm shape, relief, plating and packing for your project.
